Gustavo Adolfo Cabrera, entered the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 28, 2021. He was received back to his eternal home with open arms and a big celebration in heaven surrounded by His Glory. Born on January 9, 1946 and raised in Guatemala City by his parents, Gustavo Cabrera & Olga Gandara, he had a wonderful upbringing that he shared with his 3 siblings: Rosa Linda, Luis Rolando and Miguel Ángel. He then met the love of his life, Beatriz and married her in 1972. He loved to see her smile and laugh which is contagious and always made him laugh too. After starting a family, they moved to Miami, Florida permanently in 1983 where they raised 3 children together. Having put God as the center of their marriage and family-they celebrated and loved each other for 49 years. He was a true gentleman, kind hearted, extremely warm and known for his noble and loyal character. He exuded happiness, love and lit up the room everywhere he went with his many jokes. Gustavo was also able to live out his passion for flying and travel and turned it into a very rewarding and successful career in the travel and tourism industry. He was very well regarded and respected by his many colleagues throughout his 40 year career. The family was fortunate and blessed to share many wonderful experiences and moments together traveling around the world. Every moment spent with his family made him extremely happy beyond measure. His legacy will continue through his immediate family: His wife, Beatriz, and his three adult children: Gustavo Jr, Ana and Alejandro Cabrera. They will miss him dearly but will take him marked on their hearts forever. Even though the physical loss is unbearable, they know that he is in a better place and that one day when God decides they will all be together again. Rejoicing and worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who died on the cross at Calvary to give us eternal life through salvation and healing. He is also survived by his many nephews and nieces and extended family that loved him very much.
